California Institute of Technology was established in 1891 in Pasadena, California. It is a private university. More accurately California Institute of Technology is a private research university of United State. This university of from science and technology only. No subject other than science and technology related subject is taught here. California Institute of Technology is more widely known as Caltech. Which is the short from of California Institute of Technology.

The campus of this university consist of 124 acres of lands. It is a really large and marvelous campus. The cause of this large campus is Caltech is a residential university. Almost all of the students of this university live in the university hall.  The education quality of Caltech is very high. It is 3rd position in the world ranking among the universities which are based on Science and Technology. The total number of student of this University is around 2200. The number of students is not very high. Because it is difficult to get chance of admission in California Institute of Technology. In 2014, California Institute of Technology received 6524 application. But only 8% of these applicant were admitted. 
California Institute of Technology has several scholarship scheme for the students who need financial support. That means California Institute of Technology provides need based scholarship. If student needs financial aid, then he will be awarded with scholarship.
