Selection Criteria of Equity Scholarship of University of Newcaslte


  1. Selection is based on the information provided in the Equity Scholarship application and supporting documentation. The ESSUN Scholarship is selected on the basis of a competitive application process. Applications are ranked against the eligibility criteria and scholarship offers are made to applicants who best meet this criteria.
  2. Being unsuccessful does not meant that you are not in need; rather it means that there are other applicants assessed as being in greater need. Please contact Scholarships Office to discuss other opportunities if your application is not successful.
  3. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by UAC. Successful applicants will also receive correspondence from Scholarships@newcastle.edu.au with full scholarship conditions and instructions on how to accept the scholarship.
  4. You will not be eligible for an ESSUN Scholarship if you receive a Start-Up Scholarship or Loan and/or Relocation Scholarship via centrelink OR if you are receiving a Commonwealth Indigenous Scholarship.

These are 4 selection criteria of this scholarship. Selection criteria demonstrates how the committee will selection the candidate. It is better to understand the selection criteria because it helps a student to take the advantage in deletion board.
