Foster Care to Success Scholarship a scholarship program of University of Arizona. Students who are enrolled in undergraduate courses in University of Arizona can participate in this scholarship program. There are several unique features of this scholarship which attracts participants. First of all, this scholarship is not limited to an specific amount. Those who want to lead a tension free life in the university, Foster Care to Success Scholarship is the most desired goal to them. However, only undergraduate student can apply for this program. Students who are doing Masters program or PhD program, cannot participate here.
Amount:
This scholarship is not limited to any specific amount. It is a tuition fee scholarship. It covers all the tuition fees required in 4 years in University of Arizona.
Eligibility:
- Must be accepted to the UA by meeting regular admission requirements.
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Be an Arizona resident for tuition purposes.
- Verify lawful presence as described under Arizona's Proposition 300.
- Must have been in foster care when the student was 16 years of age OR adopted from foster care and the adoption was finalized after the person was 16 years of age.
- Has total personal assets according to the FAFSA that are worth less than $10,000 (assets do NOT include scholarships or grants).
- Is under 21 years of age when the tuition scholarship is first awarded.
- Must complete a FAFSA each academic year (priority filing date is March 1st).
- Must be verified by the Arizona DES Division of Children, Youth and Families (this verification is done after the student applies through the online portal referenced above).
How to Apply:
Students must initially apply and be certified through the Foster Care to Success (FC2S) portal. The online portal is also the application for the Arizona Education and Training Voucher (ETV) Program. Log on by clicking here.
