A competitive yet interesting scholarship program of University of Arizona is National Merit Semi-Finalist Award. Although it is not based on university merit, but it is awarded as university scholarship. Meritorious students who have completed their high school with fame and academic success and now want to start studying in University of Arizona are the candidate for this scholarship. It is mainly an undergraduate scholarship. Students of Bsc, BBA, Honors program can participate here.
Amount:
The scholarship is awarded yearly. That means, an undergraduate student will receive this scholarship for 4 times during his undergraduate education. Every year $12,000 is awarded. In total, the scholarship amount is $48,000.

Eligibility:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Students who become National Merit Finalists will be awarded the NMF Scholar award which supersedes and replaces this award.
- Students must pursuing a first Bachelor's Degree for Undergraduate studies.
- Must verify your lawful presence as described under Arizona's Proposition 300.
- Semesters without lawful presence verified will be lost and counted against the scholarship's total 8 semesters.
This scholarship is for only National Merit Semi-Finalist, who were qualified by PSAT exam in high school. Any of the National Merit Semi-Finalists will receive this this award from University of Arizona without any other application form or formalities.
